In order to provide a standard criteria for determining eligibility for acceptance at Mary, Seat of Wisdom School, the following priority schedule was adopted by the Mary, Seat of Wisdom School Board. Acceptance begins with the highest category and continues through each category until maximum acceptable enrollment is reached according to the current student-teacher ratio policy. 1) Children already accepted and attending the school and their brothers and sisters 2) Catholic children whose parents are registered in the parish 3) Catholic children whose parents live outside the geographical boundaries of the parish and are not registered in the parish 4) Non-Catholic children In cases where the number of accepted registrations must be limited, the admissions criteria will be applied on March 1. After that date, registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Mary, Seat of Wisdom School, operated under the auspices of the Catholic Bishop of Chicago, a corporation sole, in the Archdiocese of Chicago, admits students of any race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Mary, Seat of Wisdom School does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, or national and ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, admission policies, loan programs, athletic or other school-administered programs. Mary Seat of Wisdom School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, unfavorable military discharge, marital status, mental or physical handicap unrelated to the ability to perform duties of the position in employment practices. This policy shall be interpreted consistently with the religious mission and teaching of the Catholic Church. |
