Registration Information

 

 

    The Mary, Seat of Wisdom registration process for the subsequent school year takes place between February and August. During this time parents are asked to complete a registration form for students who will be returning to our school the following year.

New families registering during this time or at any time during the year are required to complete the school (and parish, if applicable) registration forms and to present a copy of the child's birth and baptismal certificates and current health records. In addition, a $75.00 registration fee is required for any student entering preschool or kindergarten and for any student entering Mary, Seat of Wisdom for the first time.

Students entering Preschool, Kindergarten, or 1st grade must be their respective ages by September 1 of the current year (Preschool 3 – 3 years old, Preschool 4 – 4 years old, Kindergarten – 5 years old, 1st grade – 6 years old). Assessment for exceptions to this policy can be arranged under special circumstances by contacting the school office.

For students transferring into Mary, Seat of Wisdom from other schools, a copy of the student's last report card along with a completed request form for transfer of permanent records must be presented in addition to the information listed above. Upon acceptance to Mary, Seat of Wisdom School, all students who are transferring from other schools will retain a probationary status for the first full trimester of school. In the case where a student is unable to learn at Mary, Seat of Wisdom, the school will help parents find an appropriate educational program elsewhere.

Mary, Seat of Wisdom reserves the right to refuse admission or continued attendance to students whose needs cannot be serviced adequately because of learning, emotional, or physical needs.

At any time during the school year, the School reserves the right to dismiss any student or family who is uncooperative with teachers or administration, or who fails to accept and abide by the policies and procedures set forth in this handbook and in other bulletins.
