Room 212: Ms. Lola Milito
I believe that the elementary school years are the most formative and changing years of a young Catholic adult. I hope I bring good, moral decision-making ideas to my students. I give additional help to any of my students who desire help after school.
Background and Education
I was raised in Elmwood Park IL and attended St. William’s Catholic School in Chicago for eight years and was a parishioner there for twenty-four years.
I have an Elementary Education teaching degree from Northeastern Illinois University. My minor is in Language Arts. As I have taken additional courses, I also have endorsements in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Junior High School.
Years of Teaching Experience
I have been teaching at MSW since the spring of 2006. I have taught Language Arts, Composition, Math, and Religion in the Junior High. I have also taught 4th and 5th grade Math. A truly exciting aspect of my teaching career is my role as Resource Teacher for grades four through eight. Being Resource for these grades allows me to spend time with all of our students who may require assistance. This is an extrememly rewarding part of my day!
Additional Activities at MSW
At MSW, I have been involved in the Language Arts Curriculum Committee, as a 7th and 8th Grade Level Leader, Study Island Summer Program Coordinator and Promethean Board Geek!
Hobbies and Interests
My interests include live theater, live music, dancing, singing, reading and cake decorating. I am also involved in fund-raising for my alma mater, St. William’s School.
