Religion – We will work in Chapter 17 - Jesus’ Followers Become the Church.

 

Language Arts- We will read four stories this week: A New Room By The Sea, Sand Castle, The Banjo Trick, and Frog and Toad – A List. In phonics and spelling we will work on words with “oo, ew, and long i sound. We will work on contractions, the use of was and were, making a story map, and the use of go and went.

Spelling Words: boot, tooth, soon, noon, new, grew, find, mind, mild, cold, fold, most

Vocabulary Words: boy, building, tomorrow, toward, welcoming, any, front, nothing, ready, sorry

Robust Vocabulary: wriggle, prickly, interested, cooperative, construct, assist, seized, tiresome, tremendous, exhausted, outrageous, patient

Math- We will finish Chapter 14 with a test on Friday. A practice test will come home on Thursday night for review. Please continue to practice math facts. The final Mad Minutes will be next week and the end of the year math test will be on the 30th and 31st of May.

Science/Social Studies- We will begin our last Unit in our Social Studies book which focuses on American History – then and now.

 

***Don't forget to go on line and print out the end of the year permission slip and hand it in. 

***June 6th we will be having a in school field trip.  The Kohl's Children's Museum will be coming in to do hands on activities.  A permission slip will be going home this week.
