Ms. Gross's Page
November was such a busy month for the second grade. The second graders led the monthly assembly focusing on the all school theme's prayers and activities for the month of November. The second graders, along with the Student Coucil, helped with the ABC Food Drive to benefit a local food pantry. Finally, the second grade hosted the Thanksgiving Liturgy. What a wonderful job they did!
December will be just as busy. The second graders made their Reconciliation on December 3rd. Each day, in class, there will be extra Advent activities and special Christmas projects to do. One project the second graders are looking forward to is making Chirstmas cards for the children of St. Bonaventure in New Mexico. Christmas is such an exciting time of year! From the teachers and all the second graders a special wish to all for a joyful and blessed Christmas!
Looking ahead...the second grade will be starting an integrated unit on "Famous People" in January. They will have activities across the curriculum focusing on this central theme. Their Book Share will be a biography of a famous person. So many interesting activities are included in this unit...stay tuned.
