Music
The music program at Mary, Seat of Wisdom is an active curriculum for children. As such, it supports musical skills and objectives that support the National Standards for Arts Education, including rhythm, melody, harmony, form and timbre. Students approach these objectives through a variety of experiences, such as: movement, speech, song, listening, playing, and notation. Kindergarten music classes meet for two twenty-minute classes per week; grades 1-4 meet for two thirty-minute classes each week; and, grades 5-8 meet for three forty-five minute classes each week, during one trimester.
