4th Grade
Fourth grade students at Mary, Seat of Wisdom School are exposed to numerous academic challenges and opportunities, designed to solidify their knowledge of basic concepts and develop their sense of responsibility. Beginning in the fourth grade, students are evaluated in their mathematical skills and placed in either a regular or accelerated program. In Language Arts, students explore creative, narrative, expository and descriptive writing by reading novels, biographies, and poetry and by writing and presenting book reports. In addition to academics, fourth grade is a special time at Mary Seat of Wisdom School, as the students star in our annual production of “The Nutcracker”—a 30+-year school tradition.
