Room 215: Mrs. Marianne Strzelecki’s Class
I am very blessed to teach fifth grade students. It was one of the reasons I became endorsed in Middle School. This age is still so full of inquiry and the students never cease to amaze their teachers. I also feel my strong Catholic values can also help in teaching this age group.
Background and Education
My Bachelor Degree is in Business administration from Elmhurst College. I received a Masters of Education from National Louis University. I am endorsed by the State of Illinois in the following areas: Social Studies, Language Arts, Business, and Middle School. I believe I will always be a life long learner and am currently taking an online class from Fresno University. The class is entitled Discipline for today’s Classrooms.
Years of Teaching Experience
I was a substitute teacher for District 62 (Des Plaines) and District 59 (Arlington Heights) for three years. I have taught at MSW since August of 2007.
Additional Activities at MSW
I am on the Social Committee and also help out for various other functions. I have taken up collections for teachers and donated prizes for the Silent Auction.
Hobbies and Interests
Travel Travel Travel !!!!!!! I wish it could be all the time but I do have to work. I also love to read anything and everything. A little known fact about me: I love to cook and bake but never make the same recipe twice. My husband and I are Ministers of Care at our parish, going weekly to the nursing home to give Communion.
