Room 206: Mrs. Ann Marie Rossi’s Class
Second graders are a bundle of energy with very inquisitive minds. They are always excited to share a story or a show and tell. They are anxiously awaiting to prepare and receive Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. This is a very exciting year.
Background and Education
I grew up in Elmwood Park, the youngest of three children. I attended St. Williams School. My 8th grade graduating class was the largest class to graduate in the school’s history.
I went to Mother Theodore Guerin High School. This was a very unique experience because my class was the very first and “only” class that year. So, in reality, we were the “upper classmen” for all four years.
I attended Loyola University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. I have completed some graduate work at Lewis University.
Years of Teaching Experience
I began my teaching career in the Joliet Diocese, where I taught pre-school, 1st grade, 4th grade, and 6th - 8th grade math. I took some time off to raise my family. When I returned to teaching, I joined the Chicago Diocesan schools I have been here, at MSW, since 2001, teaching 3rd, and now 2nd, grade.
