Room 212: Ms. Lola Milito’s Class
I believe that the junior high years are the most formative and changing years of a young Catholic adult. I hope I bring good, moral decision-making ideas to my students. I give additional help to any of my students who desire help after school.
Background and Education
I was raised in Elmwood Park IL and attended St. William’s Catholic School in Chicago for eight years.
I received my Elementary Education teaching degree at Northeastern Illinois University. My minor is in Language Arts. As I took additional courses, I received an endorsement to teach Junior High School.
Years of Teaching Experience
I have been teaching at MSW since the spring of 2006. I teach Language Arts, Composition, and Religion. My teaching experience has been exclusively in the junior high. However, this year is new and exciting. Besides teaching 7th grade Religion, I also teach 4th and 5th grade Math with those teams. Another exciting aspect this year is my role as a Resource Teacher. This allows me to spend time with any of our students who may require extra assistance.
Additional Activities at MSW
At MSW, I have been involved in the Language Arts Curriculum Committee, as a 7th and 8th Grade Level Leader, as an 8th Grade Play guidance teacher, in The Spring Fashion Shows, in Summer Stock, and in teaching Cake Decorating Classes.
Hobbies and Interests
My interests include reading, cake decorating, dancing, and singing. I am also involved in fund-raising for my alma mater, St. William’s School.
