Our Scholastic Book Fair theme - Book Fair Luau! It's a Reading Celebration! - is part of an exciting reading event that brings to school a wonderful selection of fun, engaging, and affordable books kids want to read. Giving kids access to good books and the opportunity to choose their own books will motivate them to read more. And like most acquired skills, the more kids practice reading, the better they'll get.
Be sure to visit the Teacher's Wish List Wall during the fair and pick out a new book to donate to your child's classroom. All books purchased from the Wish List Wall will have the child's or family's name on a bookplate inside the book and become a permanent part of the classroom library.
We will again be sponsoring the One for Books Campaign. Proceeds collected will go to St. Bonaventure Indian School in New Mexico. For each donation, you'll vote and choose a crazy luau outfit for Mrs. Schutter! So, bring your donations!
